This past week in PE we learned all about Ladder Golf. Some of the kids had played this game before but many had not ever experienced this fun lawn game. We learned the names of the instruments required to play and how to keep score. Kids from all six classes got to play ladder golf and a few classes even got to enjoy the nice weather while playing ladder golf outside! Ask your student to tell you more about this activity, I know I learned a lot and will be searching out a set for myself to play this summer with my family! Thanks again for sharing your wonderful children with me – I am so fortunate to do what I love! Sincerely, Mrs. Johnson See the following post for pictures: Ladder Golf
The past few weeks in PE the kids have been working on their volleyball skills. The younger students are getting to explore with passing and volleying – keeping the ball up in the air with different parts of their bodies. And the older kids have been practicing bumping, setting and serving. This week we were able to get out the volleyball net and play some fun volleyball-type games with all grades! We had a great time and got some excellent exercise!
Tangent Fire Department visited Tangent students during lunch recess to celebrate the end of the basketball unit. The fire fighters and students played basketball games and were able to practice basketball skills learned over the past three weeks in P.E. class together. Thank you, Tangent Fire Department for your dedication and service to our community!
